A bit of Christmas nostalgia as I go through our video camera getting ready for the Christmas concert and presentation day next week. Two things. Amy looks SOOOOOO little and wow, Stella really couldn’t talk properly!
VICTORY IS MINE! Can you see me? I cross from the right of the screen with my arms waving madly above my head, wearing pink singlet top and white visor… you can’t miss me! I have watched this over and over and over, laughing every time!
Greg, Russell, Ron, Davis… this is for you men!
Amy the tiger (not having any luck embedding this, so click on the link above to go to the video at utube) Every time I watch this I laugh. Like a proper laugh. I think its the way Stella’s little body goes rigid with anticipation of the fright! Too cute.
Conversations with Amy and Stella 1 Its hard posting this video, I feel bad using it as a guilt trip but chatting to Mum the other night I was able to explain, Amy asks about her Gogga and Packet (My Mum and Dad) a lot and often wonders out loud when we will see them, [...]
Today the girls and I were lucky enough to be invited to see The Wiggles live in concert from a private corporate box complete with snacks and a waitress. It was brilliant, just brilliant. I don’t know who enjoyed it more, the girls or me! Stella was excited when Dorothy the Dinosaur made an appearance, [...]
Stella is 16 months and 2 weeks old. She has 12 teeth which is two less than Amy at this age (but that is another post for another day.) She sleeps from 7pm until 6.30am and has a dummy but isn’t as attached to it as her sister was. Stella likes to climb and hide behind things. She [...]
Its been bothering me all morning, then suddenly, I realised who Stella’s new haircut reminds me of. Yolandi from Die Antwoord a South African music duo who became an overnight viral sensation with their you tube videos. See the resemblence? Ron says I am mad, and mean.
Something that made me laugh out loud yesterday, in fact I am going to watch it again right now for another giggle. A little shout out to my Welsh heritage and for all you leak lovers out there! Genius!
The last bit of video for a while, this is Amy talking to her Gogga on Skype and kindly sharing her marshmallows! I love that Amy can talk to Gogga and Packet and Tannie Liv so often and see them on the computer, its a wonderful way to ensure their ongoing relationships. Amy will often [...]
A while ago a friend in the internet wrote a birthday post where she included some questions she asked her birthday boy. I thought this was a great tradition to start, especially as though Amy is old enough now to understand questions and give me some good answers! This was the result from our first [...]
(edited to correct annoying spelling mistake!)
At bedtime I tell Amy an “Amy story” where I recount things we have done that day or talk about people who love Amy to keep them fresh in her mind. Now she has memorised the format and likes to tell me “Amy stories” about her imaginary friends and adventures.
Some fun for Friday, I can’t do a real blog post with a grumpy baby on my lap! Love this ad, love, love, love. For those of you not in Australia, a lot of the shots include real life personalities, the premier of NSW, a football legend, a legend in the music business, great cameos.
Lucy, Ana, Amanda, this one’s for you! The funniest thing I have seen in a LONG, LONG time!
Its late and I really should go to bed but inspired by the fabulous Leah at A Girl and a Boy whom I have been reading for years, I thought I would post a link to the video I made to celebrate Amy’s first year. Its wonderful looking back on the early photos of Amy [...]
Behold the divineness that is my eldest daughter singing to my youngest daughter!
A cringeworthy, sentimental video of me talking to my bump as it wriggles and kicks. Enjoy!
Amy and I love watching So You Think You Can Dance together. The new season in Australia has just started and we have been watching from the beginning. Amy would struggle to choose a genre to describe herself in, she loves Hip Hop but also shakes a mean booty to anything Latin or ballroom with [...]
That pregnancy post is coming, but right now I need to relocate to the couch with a packet of chocolate digestives. I will leave you with Amy talking to my bump.
We had a very busy weekend seeing friends and being out and about. Sunday we went to a brunch and swimming party in the morning and a backyard bbq in the afternoon and all crashed out early Sunday night. Amy suprised Ron and I by taking to the water and the blow-up water wings like [...]
Amy gets into the Christmas spirit and opens the first door on her advent calender. I can’t help myself but just melt a little very time she says “Ho, ho, ho merry kisskiss!”
