The Super Whites The ordinary life of a Super Mum

The Super Whites

I have been feeling really flat this week, the ‘blogover’ from the awesome Aussie Bloggers Conference lingers along with a sense of melancholy. Its a combination of relief, Stella’s appointment with the Speech Pathologist went fantastically well, and exhaustion. The relief is wonderful, I have a post about our experience at the Speech Therapist coming up in the next few days. We took away a lot of information and had a few lightbulb moments. I am much happier and feel really relieved that we chose to get her checked out.

The exhaustion however is unexplainable so I went to my Dr this week and we are going to run a bunch of blood tests to try and figure out why I am so tired all the time despite getting regular exercise, lots of sleep (hah!) and eating well. In the meantime I am trying to be gentle on myself, I am so looking forward to bootcamp starting up again next week and I am filling our days with fun activities to try and stop myself from slumping on the couch come 3pm and not feeling able to cope with the rest of the day!

Today we went to swimming lessons and then came home for a morning tea picnic before I packed the girls, their lunchboxes and the portable dvd player into the car and drove into the city to pick up some client prints. On the way home we stopped in at the Fish Markets to feed the seagulls, share some ice-creams, take some photos and just hang out.

On the way out I picked up some sashimi grade salmon and some fresh jumbo green prawns, we have friends flying in for the night from Brisbane and want to indulge in a delicious asian inspired feast. A lovely treat to look forward to after a couple of weeks of budget meals!
