The Super Whites The ordinary life of a Super Mum

The Super Whites
#AusBlogCon2011

I am having difficulty knowing where to start in describing yesterday’s inaugural Aussie Bloggers Conference 2011. A room full of inspirational writers/bloggers/social commentators. Meeting people whom I have admired and followed for months and years. Talking to other women who are just like me, who have the same dreams, aspirations, fears. Listening to amazing people telling their inspirational stories.

It was an honour and a privilege to be a part of something so much bigger than myself, so much more than just a group of “mummy bloggers”, a room full of people committed to furthering their stories, making a difference, being authentic and changing futures. Thank you.

World, you better watch out because the Aussie Bloggers are coming to take it over!

  1. Oh! I will be there next year for sure. Hearing all about it makes me wish I made the effort this year – but alas I didn’t. Gald you enjoyed yourself Sarah. Look forward to seeing how everyone uses their new found information 🙂 Caz

  2. Sarah says:

Can’t wait to hear all about it. Interested to know what was discussed.

  3. Loved meeting you xox

  4. Trish says:

This sentence sums it up for me too – “a room full of people committed to furthering their stories, making a difference, being authentic and changing futures.”
I loved meeting everyone and especially ‘some’ of the people whose stories we only touch on though their blogs. It wasn’t long enough to get to know some people though.

  5. Sarah, I loved the conference. I met so many people – it was a little overwhelming – so I am sorry that I can’t recall if we met. In any case, lets keep in touch via blogging and Twitter.

This I also agree with: “a room full of people committed to furthering their stories, making a difference, being authentic and changing futures.” – indeed. Blogging is not just a bit of fluff. It’s citizen journalism, history documentation, teaching people, creating awareness and empathy.
