The Super Whites The ordinary life of a Super Mum

The Super Whites

I have finally updated over at my food blog and admitted defeat. I didn’t manage to post everyday this November, instead I was hanging out with friends.
Brendan and Rachel are on an extended honeymoon after getting married recently in London. We were very sad we couldn’t be there but very happy we got to host them for part of their honeymoon. We worked them like tourist slave drivers, suggesting ferrys here, buses there and train rides across town! In a few short days they managed to see as much of Sydney as we could pack in and we got to enjoy some of it with them. Ron took the day off work and we went out to Bondi to try and do the Bondi to Bronte coastal walk, its not far but the weather was threatening and we ended up walking halfway and then turning back to go over to Watsons Bay for fish and chips, just in time as the rain came down.

The next day Ron was home from work with a nasty sore throat so Amy and I drove up the coast to Palm Beach with our guests, stopping along the way to walk on the beach and take in the views.

Back home later that evening Ron revived enough to bbq some giant prawns which we ate on the new deck.
In my family we have always eaten prawns this way, served grilled over steamed rice with lots of garlic or lemon butter and a light salad of finely chopped tomato and onion. They were absolutely delicious.
Brendan and Rachel have left to go onto New Zealand for the next phase of their honeymoon and we are having a quiet weekend before getting back to the routine next week.
