The Super Whites The ordinary life of a Super Mum

The Super Whites
Surfers night away

We left Ronita, Saskia and Alan on Saturday morning and drove down to the Gold Coast, stopping in on Ron’s old school friend Rick along the way. Ron had arranged everything for these two nights and all I knew was we were staying in a hotel in Surfers Paradise. Some people questioned us when we told them this plan because really Surfers isn’t where you would expect us to stay, with a baby and all. Its a big, trashy strip full of skyrise apartments and hotels and lots of nightclubs and bars. Its usually full of school leavers and stag weekends and rowdy groups. But Ron and I wanted to get away and not have to worry about catering or making beds or finding stuff to do and so two nights in a boutique hotel suited us just fine!

The Vibe hotel (despite cheesy name!) was lovely. One street back from the beach but overlooking the canal with a breakfast buffet and microwave in our room. Amy enjoyed her meals with a view. Ron and I enjoyed Foxtel sports channels and lots of rugby and golf.
Amy was in a fabulous mood since her EIGHTH tooth had come through (4 on the top and 4 on the bottom!) and she slept brilliantly both nights and for her morning naps allowing us lots of down time. She is still making this crazy smile/face thing when she is happy which just cracks us up! She is so much fun!

Family portrait!
